HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY OF THE CHAGFORD SHOW
The Directors of the Chagford Show want everybody participating in the show, whether as visitors or officials, to have a safe and enjoyable day.
The principles that we use to run our show safely are
- To have an effective risk assessment process at Show, Section and Exhibitor level
- To keep pedestrians, livestock and vehicles safety apart
- To design the layout of the site for ease of movement
- To have clear responsibilities defined for stewards
- To have effective radio and public address communications across the showfield
- To have emergency plans in place for foreseeable incidents
- To review and, where possible, improve the safety of the show year on year
