What's on around the Show

In addition to all the usual things you would expect to see at an agricultural show – livestock and horse competitions we have a full programme of attractions and things to do going on all day and all around the Show Ground.

In the Knight Frank ring our main attraction this year is the “Paws for Thought” Dog Show, one of the top dog display teams in the country. All the dogs are family pets, many of them rescues, and the handlers encourage participation from the audience as they perform their amazing routines.

The Dartmoor Hawker – A fabulous and exciting display of horseback falconry, Martin is one of very few Falconers who practices falconry from horses. He is master of the Dartmoor Falcons, one of only two organised mounted falconry groups in the country

Ian Brackenbury will be hosting the hugely popular terrier racing. Everyone is welcome to enter their dog(s) and thrill at the general mayhem and chaos that ensues in the main ring.

The Mid Devon Fox Hounds will enter the Ring in full regalia and invite the public to come and meet the hounds.

Next to the Knight Frank ring is the ever-popular Sheep Show, an educational and captivating live stage show. Sheep shearing, Dancing sheep all presented in the true Kiwi style!

Miss Bubelina will be wandering around the showground, working her magic with her washing up liquid!

For the more physically active amongst you there will be the Climbing Wall and Slackline in the Pony field to indulge your balancing and climbing skills.

There will be live music playing throughout the day beside the Beer Tent so grab a pint and enjoy!!

This year the Vintage Parade will take place in the Vintage Ring in the Pony Field. With an informed commentary form Gerald Downs, our resident expert, you will see one of the best displays of Vintage vehicles, tractors, and cars in the South West.
