Invitations are sent early in the year to Caterers who have traded at the show.
New Applicants:
If you have not traded at the show and would like to, please get in touch. We look closely at new applications from March onwards. The show fills up quickly but we are always looking for new ideas.
Guidance for new applicants
Please send an initial enquiry by email to the catering stewards at catering.chagfordshow@gmail.com describe your offering, include your name, business name, email, phone number, website if you have one, address, list of where you have traded and include a photo or two.
We always try to reply promptly and will send a questionnaire if we are interested and there is a slot available.
We do not require any more traders selling alcohol for immediate consumption.
Our selection criteria include:
- Local traders and food
- Food Standards rating of 5
- Personal food hygiene certification
- Public liability insurance
- Gas and electricity safety certificates (if you use either/both)
- Risk assessments for (a) food safety and (b) general safety
- No plastics, minimal food miles, organics, options for V, VG etc
All caterers are required to sign up to our standard contract and the Show Rules.

Fees (all including VAT):
For a standard 3m x 3m pitch – a non-refundable deposit £200 in advance
Electric hook up (average use) – £30 in advance
12% share of turnover paid immediately and invoiced later.
There is limited free wi-fi, please note it is not always reliable. The mobile phone signal is also variable depending on provider and the volume of people.
